Medicare Incentive Payment

Discussion about the Medicare Incentive Payment

I am a TrakNet user and have met the 90 consecutive day meaningful use requirement. I see a lot of medicare patients but according to my TrakNet report I have only collected 18K so far from straight WPS Medicare. Does the amount I collect from replacement plans, advantage plans and supplement plans count toward the 24K needed before attesting.

In order to receive the full 18K incentive your Medicare ALLOWABLE must be 24K. If you have collected 18K from Medicare Part B so far. That means that 3.6 K has been applied to patient co-insurance. That brings your allowable up to 21.6 K. The next question to ask is how much of your allowable has been applied to Deductibles. If that is over 2.4 K you have met the 24 K threshold.

To answer the second part of your question you should only include amounts from Medicare Part B.

You can also attest now and Medicare will hold your check until you have achieved 24 K in allowable so there is no disadvantage to attesting today.
